iOS

Isolated Storage

Previously, downloaded media resided in the device’s default Gallery app, accessible by other applications. 

To address this, downloaded files are now stored within the application’s dedicated storage space by leveraging the complete FileProtection option. 

This isolated environment restricts access by external apps, file managers, and even iTunes.

Deactivation of Share Option for Security

To further augment security measures, the share option across applications from the chat & Messaging feature has been deliberately disabled. 

This preemptive action prevents the potential dissemination of sensitive media files through unsecure channels, thereby curtailing any risk of accidental or intentional data leakage. 

By disabling the share functionality, we maintain stringent control over data distribution and safeguarding user privacy.

Restricted Media Access

In a pivotal enhancement to data security, downloaded media files are no longer accessible in the default Gallery application. 

This change significantly reduces the risk of inadvertent exposure and ensures your media files are better protected against unauthorized access.

Enhanced Media File Security with Scoped Storage

Android now uses scoped storage space to save attachments, enhancing data protection. 

To minimize the potential risk of cross-application data breaches and to reinforce the security of your device, scoped storage isolates app-specific files. This security feature is available on Android 10 and above.

Introduction of Private Storage Feature

A significant enhancement has been introduced with the addition of a private storage feature. 

This innovation represents a substantial leap forward in data security, ensuring that downloaded files are no longer accessible through the default Gallery application.

The implemented restrictions are uniformly applicable across both Android and iOS platforms, ensuring consistent security protocols.

Updated SDK Versions

The iOS SDK has been updated to version 5.17.3 and the Android SDK has been upgraded to version 7.13.3 to support these advanced security measures.

Enhanced Performance

Performance improvements have been made across voice calling, video calling, video conferencing and VoIP & SIP calling in addition to the security enhancements.
